A Rainbow of Love and Smiles

These rainbow cards have been a labor of love. I started them way back in September and just recently completed them. It has been a multiple step process … a little bit one day and a little bit more another. Finally they are complete and I am so happy with the end result. You can find all of the supplies I used below. Now to send them off and brighten the day of a few special people!

Have a happy day, friends!

Essentials by Ellen - United We Flourish - Sweet Sprinkles with Concord & 9th

Hello, sweet friends! Today, I am honored to be participating in the latest United We Flourish blog hop with Ellen Hutson and Concord & 9th! This new set, Sweet Sprinkles, is truly the sweetest little set. I have had so much fun creating with all it's bits and pieces, from the sentiments and sprinkle border to those tiny little die cut hearts!

To create my card, I started with a white card base and stamped the sprinkle border along the bottom. Next, I stamped my sentiment just above... 'Hope your day is sprinkled with every happy thing!'...LOVE this sentiment! After stamping those, I set my card aside and moved onto die-cutting my cupcake. I stamped my cupcake liner in brown ink onto kraft cardstock before running it through my die-cut machine. I die-cut my cupcake top out of white cardstock and then added colorful hearts to decorate it! After attaching the finished cupcake to my card front with dimensional foam, I added a few clear sequins to complete it.

To celebrate, two randomly selected commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson shop and two commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Concord & 9th shop. To enter just leave a comment on the Ellen Hutson Classroom blog and the Concord blog by 12pm PST on December 26th.

There is SO much inspiration to be seen today, you definitely won't want to miss anything. Next up in the hop is the super sweet and extremely talented Sharon Harnist!

Enjoy your day and happy hopping!

Essentials by Ellen : Cue the Confetti

Hello, friends! Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. I'm thrilled to be joining in for the December Essentials by Ellen release blog hop. You should have arrived here from the blog of the talented Sharon Harnist.

My card for today features the fun set, Cue the Confetti, created by Julie Ebersole!

Of course, the first thing I thought of when I saw this set was COLOR! I chose to keep my card pretty CAS...crisp white background and lots of colors POPPING off the front!

To begin, I stamped the 'Cue the Confetti' sentiment in the center of my card, in black ink. Next, using those bits of confetti images in the set, I began stamping in a variety of colors around my sentiment. I love the 'everything's better with a little confetti' in the set and wanted to include that on my card. I stamped that onto a piece of turquoise cardstock and attached it with dimensional foam. Last but not least, I added a few clear sequins to give it a little more pizazz!

There is so much more inspiration for you to see today! Your next stop in the hop is the awesome Julia Stainton. :)

Happy hopping!!

Good morning and Happy Friday to you, friends! Welcome to the Ellen Hutson & Honey Bee Stamps blog hop. Today, we are sharing projects using the new United We Flourish set, Sending Sunshine.

More bright and happy rainbow colors for today. I used the Busy Bees stamp set and coordinating dies, to create my flowers along the left side of my card. For my flower centers, I simple punched black circles and used my white gel pen to create polka dots

Next came my sentiment. I die cut 'sunshine' out of yellow cardstock and then added the rest of the sentiment above and below that. Lastly, I added a few sequins to complete it.

There is so much more Sending Sunshine to see. Here is the complete list of hoppers for you to visit and get inspiration from ...

Essentials by Ellen - United We Flourish - Sending Sunshine with Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, sweet friends! Today, I am honored to be sharing a project in the Ellen Hutson CLASSroom using the new United We Flourish set, Sending Sunshine.

Here's a bit more info about the United We Flourish Campaign...

Last November we began celebrating our 10th anniversary with the theme United We Flourish. And what does United We Flourish mean? It means that our company would not be here without the amazing companies we work with, the designers who create stunning projects showcasing the wonderful products being created AND you, our fabulous customers! YOU are such a vital part of our creative community - you inspire & encourage us! Your response to United We Flourish was overwhelming and heart-warming. We heard repeatedly from you that you appreciate how our little company works together with the other manufacturers we carry to bring you their products and education showing how to use those products. To thank you for your constant support and encouragement, we have partnered with some of our friends to offer exclusive limited edition stamp & die sets!!! These sets will be available for a limited time (most likely 3-6 months) after each release, depending on how quickly you snap them up. The theme of these stamps sets are uplifting and fun.

We are thrilled to present the third one to you...Sending Sunshine by Honey Bee Stamps exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC.

And here is a closer peek at this beautiful new set that is filled with uplifting and positive words! LOVE!!

Now onto my project ... because this sentiment set is filled with uplifting words, I thought bright, happy colors were a must for my project. I used a mix of wonderful products, from Honey Bee Stamps, that all work perfectly with the new Sending Sunshine stamps and dies. Here is the list of products I used ...

I started by die-cutting a piece of white cardstock using the Sunburst A2 cover plate. I then die-cut the Sunburst again, multiple times, using each of the colors in the rays of the sun. I filled all of those rays in and attached it to the front of my card base. That seems like a lot of die-cutting, I know, but don't worry ... I have saved all of those extras for another project or two. ;)

Next, I die cut the clouds and sentiment and attached those before completing it with a few sequins!

Be sure to head on over to the CLASSroom now, where I'm joined by two talented ladies who are sharing more using this fabulous new set!

Thanks for visiting with me today!

Ellen Hutson Mix It Up Challenge - Merry Christmas

Good morning! Today I'm playing along in the Ellen Hutson Mix-It-Up Challenge

The challenge this month is to mix any Essentials by Ellen stamps with Avery Elle.

I went with a Christmas theme for my card and these are the two sets I mixed ...

I couldn't stop at just one card, so I created two. I used the coordinating Sweet Tidings die collection to create all of my images and colored them in with Copics.

Thanks for popping in!

Essentials by Ellen - Pin-Sights Challenge - You Are Fabulous

Let's just all admire the photos above for awhile! I mean look at those beautiful colors. Not a chance I could pass up creating a card for this month's Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

I used the Bold Blooms stamps and dies + watercolors to make my flowers and leaves colorful. My sentiment was created with a mix of the Totally Fabulous dies and the Totally Awesome stamp set. And to finish it, I added a few sequins and a bit of white twine.

Thanks for popping in today. Wishing you a happy day!

Color Throwdown #446 - Hello

Jumping on this Monday morning to share a card for Color Throwdown #446.

I used the Bold Blooms stamp set and die collection from Ellen Hutson to create this happy, floral card. I started by stamping the flowers along the top and bottom of my card base, using inks from Hero Arts ... Butter Bar, Pale Tomato and Fresh Peach. I die-cut and stamped three additional flowers in the same colors and also a few leaves in Lime Green. I attached all of those to my card front and then added a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. The 'hello' sentiment is from Script Greetings from Right at Home.

Thanks for visiting with me!

Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge - Oh Happy Day

Joining in for this month's Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge. It's all about green this month, which was certainly a challenge for me. Green isn't normally a color I create with. I use it for accents, but not usually for my main color.

Bold Blooms certainly gets A LOT of love in my studio. I just love this set! After stamping all of my floral images in greens, I pulled out another favorite of mine, Up the Happy. I die cut and stamped two butterflies, using vellum, and heat embossed them in black.

After attaching the butterflies to my stamped floral panel, I added a few clear and black sequins. To complete it I added a strip of fun aqua pom pom trim.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope your day is happy!

Up the Happy - Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

This month the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge is all about one of my favorite colors ... Aqua! Of course, I had to create a little something and enter.

Up the Happy is the stamp set I inked up for my card. I started with a white base that I die cut using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I created my balloon cluster using the masking technique and then colored them in using watercolors. I decided to dress up a few of the balloons by using my white gel pen to add stripes and dots.

To fancy up my card a little bit more, I die cut a butterfly using the coordinating Up the Happy die collection and then stamped and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. To finish, I added a few sparkly sequins and clear drops and then attached it all to my aqua card base using white dimensional foam.

So happy you popped in today. I hope your day is wonderful!

Have A Happy Birthday - Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

Joining in for this month's Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge. When I saw the box of inspiration above, the first thing I was drawn to was the bottom photo (3rd one in) with the black stripes and bright flowers!

I started by creating my own striped black and white background. I cut multiple strips of black card-stock, each measuring 1/2" by 4.25". I stamped each of those strips in white ink using the 'Happy' from Totally Awesome. After adhering all of those strips to my card front, I set it aside and moved onto the frame for my sentiment. After that was finished, I attached it to my card front with foam adhesive and moved onto die cutting and adhering all of those colorful flowers. And last but not least, sequins, you just got to have sequins!

Thanks for visiting with me today! I hope you find a little time to create your own card for this challenge. Happy creating!
