Have A Happy Birthday - Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

Joining in for this month's Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge. When I saw the box of inspiration above, the first thing I was drawn to was the bottom photo (3rd one in) with the black stripes and bright flowers!

I started by creating my own striped black and white background. I cut multiple strips of black card-stock, each measuring 1/2" by 4.25". I stamped each of those strips in white ink using the 'Happy' from Totally Awesome. After adhering all of those strips to my card front, I set it aside and moved onto the frame for my sentiment. After that was finished, I attached it to my card front with foam adhesive and moved onto die cutting and adhering all of those colorful flowers. And last but not least, sequins, you just got to have sequins!

Thanks for visiting with me today! I hope you find a little time to create your own card for this challenge. Happy creating!

Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challege with Avery Elle

Playing along today in the Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge. This month they are featuring Avery Elle and these are the two sets I used to create my card...

I started by stamping my sentiment onto the front of my white card base. The 'HAPPY' 'BIRTHDAY' and 'YOU' are all from Totally Awesome and the 'To:' is from Sweet Tidings. I just love the little cupcake in Sweet Tidings and thought it would be perfect accent to my birthday card. I used the coordinating Sweet Tidings die collection to die cut three of them and then colored them in using the Copics you see in the photo above.

I wanted part of my sentiment to POP so I stamped another 'HAPPY' onto a separate piece of white card-stock, colored it in and then adhered it with a strip of foam adhesive. To finish, I added a few sequins to give it a little sparkle.

Thank you so much for visiting me today! I hope you enjoyed...Happy Friday to you!

Concord & 9th Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Concord & 9th has turned ONE! YAY! And they are celebrating by having a month long blog hop with many wonderful discounts & giveaways. I am so excited to be joining in to help celebrate as one of their guests. I fell in love with their images and designs the moment I discovered them and always look forward to their releases!

**You will have a chance to win a $20 gift card to the Concord & 9th store...details at the end of this post.**

Choosing just one Concord & 9th product to create with is impossible for me...love them all. So, I mixed a few sets + products together to create my card for you today...

Starting with the small star cluster in the Eat Cake & Celebrate set, I stamped my background for both my card and my envelope liner. Next, I moved onto my focal image...the sweet butterfly from the Floral & Flutter die collection. This butterfly is one of my most used dies. I love the versatility of it and love that you can die cut two separate butterflies and interchange the pieces. For this particular butterfly, I die cut a white & aqua one. I then placed the inside pieces of the white butterfly into the outlined aqua one. Yes, a little time consuming, but so worth it in my opinion. :)

The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is from You're My Person and another favorite die of mine...'beautiful' is from the Beautiful You die collection.

Concord & 9th is having some pretty amazing promotions to celebrate their first birthday. If you haven't yet checked them out be sure to visit their promotions page HERE to read all about them. They are also offering a $20 gift card to one of my lovely followers. Just leave me a comment below by 11:59PM EST on August 20th and I will choose a lucky winner!

Thank you so much for stopping in today. I hope your Sunday is happy!

Concord & 9th June Guest Designer – Happy Birthday

Hello there, crafty friends! I am so thrilled and honored to be a guest designer for Concord & 9th this month. I fell in love with their sweet designs the moment I discovered them. If you have not had the chance to browse their website, be sure to stop by and take a look around!

For my first guest post, I will be sharing a card using the new set, Sweet & Cool. I can not express enough how much I adore these images. So many creative possibilities! Of course, the first thing I could think of when I saw this set was COLOR!
I focused on using the coordinating Sweet & Cool dies
to create my card for you today. After die cutting 4 pops, one of each color, I trimmed each one into four sections. I die cut another pop out of white card-stock and then started adhering my colored pieces to the front.

I added more colorful stripes along the bottom of my card, a tiny die cut heart to the center of my pop and my 'Happy Birthday' sentiment. The fonts in this set are so much fun. I love a pretty, scripty font and the 'happy' font, well... just makes me happy! :)
I hope you enjoyed my first guest post using these awesome new products. I will be back soon to share even more Concord & 9th goodness with you.

Wishing you all a happy day!

xo,
Melissa
