Have A Happy Birthday - Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge

Joining in for this month's Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge. When I saw the box of inspiration above, the first thing I was drawn to was the bottom photo (3rd one in) with the black stripes and bright flowers!

I started by creating my own striped black and white background. I cut multiple strips of black card-stock, each measuring 1/2" by 4.25". I stamped each of those strips in white ink using the 'Happy' from Totally Awesome. After adhering all of those strips to my card front, I set it aside and moved onto the frame for my sentiment. After that was finished, I attached it to my card front with foam adhesive and moved onto die cutting and adhering all of those colorful flowers. And last but not least, sequins, you just got to have sequins!

Thanks for visiting with me today! I hope you find a little time to create your own card for this challenge. Happy creating!

Riley & Company and CardMaker Blog Hop

Hello and happy Monday, everyone! Welcome to the Riley & Company and CardMaker blog hop.

You should have arrived here from Kelli Santi's blog. If you didn't, head on over to the CardMaker blog and you can start right from the beginning.

I used the Red Rubber Basics stamp + die collection to create my adorable moose and then dressed them up using the Valentine/St.Patty's Accessories stamp + die collection. Such a cute set of images to dress this guy (or girl) up. You can find them all under their 'January 2017 New Release' section.

Your next stop in the hop is... Lisa McGushion.

You can find the complete list of hoppers on the CardMaker blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challege with Avery Elle

Playing along today in the Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge. This month they are featuring Avery Elle and these are the two sets I used to create my card...

https://www.ellenhutson.com/avery-elle-clear-stamps-sweet-tiding/#_a_135

I started by stamping my sentiment onto the front of my white card base. The 'HAPPY' 'BIRTHDAY' and 'YOU' are all from Totally Awesome and the 'To:' is from Sweet Tidings. I just love the little cupcake in Sweet Tidings and thought it would be perfect accent to my birthday card. I used the coordinating Sweet Tidings die collection to die cut three of them and then colored them in using the Copics you see in the photo above.

I wanted part of my sentiment to POP so I stamped another 'HAPPY' onto a separate piece of white card-stock, colored it in and then adhered it with a strip of foam adhesive. To finish, I added a few sequins to give it a little sparkle.

Thank you so much for visiting me today! I hope you enjoyed...Happy Friday to you!

Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #5 - Try Something New

Happy New Year, friends! And happy first Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge of 2017. :) 'Try Something New' is our theme this month and I am so excited to share a project using one of Concord & 9th's NEW stamp + die collections with you today. I can already tell you that 'Love Always' is going to be getting a lot of love from me. Such a sweet set of images and dies. All of their new products are now available for purchase on their website! YAY!

The Love die in this set is just like the Happy & Kind Card Frame dies. I die cut 4 total, three in white cardstock and one in pink. I then snipped the edges off each of them and placed them on my card front, connecting the l's and the e's...so it looks like continuous cursive writing.

Next, I moved onto the banner portion...'always'. There are two banner die cuts in the set, 'always' and 'note'. I chose to use the 'always' for my project today. As you can see, I die cut it in a variety of colors and then filled in the white banner with the colorful letters.

I did the same to my envelope and then added a few sequins for a final touch!
