Papertrey Ink August Release Countdown - Day 1

Hello, friends! Welcome to the first day of this month's Papertrey Ink Release Countdown. We have so much in store for you this month. Today, we are introducing a few new, and super fun, Halloween products … Corner Adorner: August, Sentiment Staples: Halloween, Grins & Ghouls, A Big More: Grins & Ghouls and Scared Silly.

*All of the new products will be available August 15th at 10pm EST!*

For card #1, I started with a Hawaiian Shores card base and stamped the web image, from Corner Adorner: August, in the upper left and lower right corners. Next, I die-cut a frame using the Pierced Features Frames Die Collection. On the outer frame, I stamped the tiny spider image, also included in the Corner Adorner: August set, in a few cheery colors.

I used a mix of the two new Halloween sets to create my trick-or-treating pumpkin. The pumpkin itself is from Grins & Ghouls and the legs and arms were stamped and die-cut using the Scared Silly Stamp + Die Collection.. I assembled him on the front of my frame and popped his body up with a bit of dimensional foam.

The sentiment is a mx of two different sets. Trick or treat is from Corner Adorner: August and the rest is from Sentiment Staples: Halloween.

For my second card I wanted to create something a bit different. To start, I trimmed a bunch of cardstock strips in these colors … Hawaiian Shores, Orange Zest, Hibiscus and Melon Berry. I then attached them all to my card base. I set that aside and then die-cut two corners of a piece of white cardstock, using the Corner Adorner: August web die. I attached that over the colorful card base.

The skull was stamped in Smokey Shadow and popped up with dimensional foam in the center of my card. Of course, I had to dress her up bit (reminds me of Sugar Skulls) so I and added a flower (from Butterfly Blooms Die Collection) and a leave (from Bunny Blessings Die Collection). And to make it somewhat scary, I added the tiny spider that is another image included in the Corner Adorner: August set.

To complete it, I added a sentiment from Sentiment Staples: Halloween and hearts in the center of each web (from Paws & Kisses Die Collection).

My third card features the Sentiment Staples: Halloween set with the ghost image, from Grins & Ghouls. I first cut four squares of colored cardstock and stamped them with a variety of images, in the sets being introduced today, to create my backgrounds.

Next, I stamped and die-cut four ghosts and attached them to the colored squares. I then attached them all to my white card base.

Happy Halloween … Hope your day is Spooktacular!

Lastly for today I have a quick & easy Halloween treat that I created with the Corner Adorner: August Die Collection and the adorable images from A Bit More: Grins & Ghouls
These took me no time to create and add a little something extra to just a boring ole candy bar. These were created with a pack of Hershey' Snack Size Candy Bars.

I used the Bitty Big: Green Parakeet Collection of patterned paper and cut them into strips to fit around the bars. On the top of each one I added a die-cut web and a die-cut pumpkin/skull/ghost.

And that's it. So super easy! You could actually wrap the web around the bar too, but I liked the look of it this way! :)
