Ink to Paper - Holiday Create-A-Thon - November 5

Hi there, friends! I'm excited to be sharing my very first post for the Ink to Paper Create-A-Thon. If you haven't heard, it's a special event we are doing all month long and each day we will highlight one or two Ink to Paper products. There are also contests where you can enter to win a $100 Gift Certificate to shop in the Ink to Paper store!

Today we are highlighting two sweet and simple holiday sets … Just Sentiments: Be Merry and Watercolor Textures: Christmas!

"Gift giving during the holidays can be stressful and stress is the last thing we want while trying to enjoy every bit of the holiday season. I try to keep a few pre-packaged gifts on hand for last minute gift gifting and this year these sweet packages will be perfect for that. I can easily tuck a small gift, sweet treat or gift card inside and hand them out to spread a bit of Christmas cheer!"

These two sets work perfect together when creating gift tags and packaging, like I did for today. I started by die-cutting the pieces I needed to create my gift packaging using the Tent Style Packaging Die. Those were both die-cut out of Bitty Big Paper, one in Berry Sorbet and one in Tropical Teal.

After I assembled them, I set them aside and moved onto creating tags for the front. I ended up using the Tag & Labeled Die Collection and stamped my images and sentiment, from our highlighted sets, onto a white tag.

I then layered those tags over the matching bigger tags. One in Tropical Teal and one in Spring Moss. I ran some white twine through the holes and attached them to the front of each of my packages.

To finish them off, I added colorful sequins around the images and I also added a bit more color to the top of each of the packages with plain pink and red cardstock.

Be sure to pop on over to the Ink to Paper blog each day where you can enter the contest! There is going to be so much holiday inspiration from the team. You won't want to miss it! :-)

xo,
Melissa

Ink to Paper Transformation Tuesday - Wishing You Joy Always

Good morning! It's time for the next Transformation Tuesday with Ink to Paper and it's my turn to share a little something with you. I love creating for Christmas, and that's what most of my cards have been lately, but it's always nice to stock up for birthdays and every day occasions, as well.

My original card features the Season of Joy Stamp Set. I love replacing large letters with images and that's what I did here. I replaced the 'O' with a snowflake from the Splendid Snowflakes Die Collection. You can find my original post right HERE!

For my transformed card I kept pretty much the same layout. In place of the snowflake, I added a sunflower from Simply Sweet: Blessed. Above 'JOY' I stamped 'wishing you' from You Are My Happy. Underneath I added 'ALWAYS' that was stamped on a Banner Builder: Basics Die.

As you know, I love color, and always feel the more color the better. Instead of adding strips of cardstock across the bottom of my card, I added small strips vertically in a variety of rainbow colors!

There are so many Ink to Paper images that you could use to replace large letters. Give it a try!

Thank you for stopping by today!
Melissa

Throwback Thursday - Sending You Joy

It's time for Throwback Thursday with Papertrey Ink and it's my turn to host. Choosing a set I want to create with is always a bit difficult for me because there are so many that I absolutely love. Since we are heading into the holiday season I knew I wanted a holiday themed set. When Sending Joy was released it immediately went to the top of my 'favorites' list. I love the clean and simple design!

To begin, I started by stamping the plaid border along the left side of my card front. I die-cut the sentiment 'joy' using Berry Sorbet, Raspberry Fizz and Pure Poppy cardstock. After die-cutting, stamping and cutting the letters I reassembled them using one of each color.

Around joy I added die-cut holly leaves, a few stamped with the plaid border strip and two of them in Spring Moss. I stamped the rest of my sentiment, Sending you, and popped that up in between the leaves. To finish my card, I added a few colorful sequins to represent the berries.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Melissa

Ink to Paper October Release Countdown - Day 4

Welcome to the final day of the Ink to Paper October Release Countdown. There have been so many wonderful new products this month. I hope we've inspired you when it comes time for your holiday creating! Our last day features the following new products … Floral Christmas, To Die For Sentiments: Christmas and Inside Greetings: Blessed Beyond Measure.

**All of the the new products will be available October 15th at 10pm EST!**

I went sweet and simple for my project today keeping my card almost one layer. I started by stamping a sprig of leaves and flowers across the center of the front using Floral Christmas. Just above that I die-cut 'joyful' using the To Die For Sentiments: Christmas Die Collection

I finished it off by stamping a greeting from Inside Greetings: Blessed Beyond Measure along the bottom and added white Nuvo drops to the center of the three flowers!

Very sweet and simple to end the countdown. Thanks for stopping by today!

Ink to Paper October Release Countdown - Day 3

We're back for Day 3 of the Ink to Paper Release Countdown and we have even more holiday goodies to share with you. I LOVE Christmas, so creating for this release has been nothing but joy for me. In the line up today are new products that will be perfect for creating tags and tucking gift cards in this holiday season … Go To Gift Card Holder: Snowman, Go To Gift Card Holder: Snowman Accessories, Go To Gift Card Holder: Snow Globe and Go To Gift Card Holder: Slider.

**All of the new products will be available October 15th at 10pm EST!**

Up first is Go To Gift Card Holder: Snow Globe and Go To Gift Card Holder: Slider. Not only can this die collection be used as a snow globe, but there are also all of the pieces you need to create an ornament, like I did for my project.

I used the new It's A Sign: Holiday Sentiments to embellish my ornament, along with the It's A Sign: Hanging Frames Die Collection to stamp my sentiment on. Assembling the ornament gift card holder is a breeze … simply die-cut two circles for the ornament (a front and a back), adhere them together around the outer edges, being sure to leave a space at the top to slide your gift card slider in and that's it.

The die collection includes two different sizes to create the ornaments and globes. I used the smaller ornament to create a coordinating set of tags to match my gift card holder! On the back of each one you could use a variety of Ink to Paper sets to stamp a holiday greeting or 'to & from'.

Up next is the oh so adorable Go To Gift Card Holder: Snowman and Go To Gift Card Holder: Snowman Accessories. Again there are two different sizes for this guy. I created both … one for my card and one for a gift tag.

If you've been following me awhile then you know I love stripes and add them to my cards quite often. I wanted to give these guys fun colored scarves, so I attached strips of cardstock together and die-cut them using the coordinating scarf die. I used the snowflakes from It's A Sign: Holiday Sentiments to dress up the scarves and their hats even more!

Only one more day to go, friends! I'll be back tomorrow with my final project. Thanks for joining me today!
