Oopsie Daisy & Felt

Good morning! I hope you are all enjoying your week so far. It has been dreary and rainy here and the extended forecast is calling for it to continue. So disappointing! Since I am unable to plant my flowers and my vegetable garden due to the weather I have had a bit more time in the studio to do more stamping with Oopsie Daisy! I thought I'd pop on this morning and share a couple of cards with you.

As you saw during the Papertrey Ink release and saw the design teams projects, as well as mine, this set has soooo many possibilities when creating with it. On the projects I'm sharing with you today I used the dies along with spring-y Papertrey felt colors....Melon Berry, Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold and Vintage Cream.

And here is a plate of those pretty flowers all together!

And the two cards I created using those flowers!

For card #1 I mixed a few stamp sets with those pretty flowers from Oopsie Daisy. I started by stamping the bottom of my white card stock using the Background Basics: Gingham in Lemon Tart. Along the top of the white, I die cut 'blessed' using the Counting My Blessings die collection and stamped it with one of the floral images in Background Basics: Botanicals

My large flowers were folded in half  and then a smaller flower was added over the top with a Simply Chartreuse button. A few die cut leaves were added as well as a strip of glitter underneath my flowers.

I used pretty much the same design on this next card, just added a few different elements. I used Simply You for my sentiment. The bottom of my white was stamped in Aqua Mist, again using the Background Basics:  Gingham stamp set.

More die cut leaves and some pom pom trim along the top complete this one!

If you did purchase this set I would LOVE to see what you have created with it! Thanks for popping in today. I hope you enjoy this day and the sun is shining wherever you are! :)

Oopsie Daisy - Day 5

Good morning! Welcome to the final day of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. I have had so much fun sharing my projects with you using my new set, Oopsie Daisy! And I have loved hearing your thoughts about it...thanks so much for sharing them with me. I can't help but be happy and smile when I'm creating with Oopsie Daisy and I hope it brings a smile to your face if you decide to add it to your stamp collection. :)

So, before we get to my final projects how about we recap the set...

OOPSIE DAISY
  • features 20 images - 1 large double outlined flower, 1 small double outlined flower, 1 small patterned flower, 1 small solid flower, 2 dotted flower stems, 12 patterned flower petals, 2 flower centers
  • will retail for $15
  • will be available for purchase starting May 15th on the Papertrey Ink website
  • has coordinating dies

I did a little mixing of this new Oopsie Daisy set with the sentiments in Wet Paint (totally in LOVE with this set) on all of my cards today. Up first is this card created with the large double outlined flower. Each petal of the flower was stamped using the individual patterned petals in the set. My flowers were layered over a piece of Orange Zest card stock and then over my Stampers Select White card base.

Here is a card that shows just another way you can use these flower petals! After stamping my flower stems I created a trio of petals on each one using Hibiscus Burst, Orange Zest, Aqua Mist, Lemon Tart and Simply Chartreuse. Aren't they fun!?

And last but certainly not least is this 'Enjoy your day' card. Again, here is another way to use those fun patterned petals...to create a fun, colorful flourish. I started this one by stamping my black flower center and then worked my way out using a variety of the petals in the set. When doing this I always find it easier to stamp my first petals at 12,3,6 and 9 o'clock and then fill the rest in. Comes out perfect every time!

And that completes this countdown for me...thanks so much for spending some time visiting over the past five days. I can't wait to see all of the projects you make using this new set! Be sure to stop by and visit these gals...

See you all very soon! :)

Oopsie Daisy - Day 4

Hello there, friends! Hope your day has started off nicely. Here we are on day 4 of the countdown with only one to go before the full reveal and release of my new set, Oopsie Daisy. Let's not waste any time and get right to what I have to share with you today.

**All of the new products will be available starting May 15th at 10pm EST on the Papertrey Ink website.**

I'm all about clean and simple cards lately and this is one that I created for today's post. I used the small double outlined flower along with the small striped flower that was stamped inside. The sentiment is from Think Big Favorites #4.

I loved using those Journaling Lines as a background on day 3 and decided to use them again on this note card and matching envelope.  After stamping the lines on both the card and envelope, I moved onto my flowers, stamping the stems and leaves first and then stamping my double outlined flowers. Next, I filled them in using the patterned petals in the set.

The sentiment is from Heart-2-Heart #4.

That wraps up day 4 for me but there is still lots more to see from these ladies...

Thanks so very much for visiting with me today and checking out my Oopsie Daisy projects. I hope  you are able to see all of the possibilities you have with this new set. I'm looking forward to sharing my final projects with you tomorrow.

Wishing you a happy day!

Oopsie Daisy - Day 3

Welcome! I'm back to share more projects with you using my new set, Oopsie Daisy! Today I'm using those fun petals again to create my flowered note cards. Let's jump right in...

**All of the new products will be available starting May 15th at 10pm EST on the Papertrey Ink website.**

To start, I stamped lines, from Journaling Lines, on the front of the cards. Next, I added a strip of Aqua Mist card stock and stamped my sentiment, from Think Big Favorites #3, above it. My flower stems were stamped in Simply Chartreuse.

I die cut 2 large solid flowers and 2 small solid flowers out of Stampers Select White card stock. All of my individual flower petals were die cut out of Summer Sunrise, Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse and Melon Berry and then stamped using the patterned petals in the Oopsie Daisy stamp set.

After stamping each one I started adhering them to my solid white flowers. There are multiple ways you could use these petals....
  1. Adhere the die cut petals inside the solid die cut flower - like I did today
  2. Stamp the petals inside the solid flower die cut.
  3. Attach the die cut petals directly to your card without using the solid die cut flower as your base.
  4. Stamp each of the petals directly to your card stock.

To complete each of my flowers, I used the 2 circles in the die collection to stamp my flower centers and then adhered them to the centers of my flowers.

Keeping it short and sweet for today. I'll have a few more projects for you tomorrow...I look forward to sharing them with you then. Here are a few more stops for you to check out while you're enjoying your morning coffee...

Enjoy your Monday!

Oopsie Daisy - Day 2

Welcome back for day 2 of the Papertrey Ink countdown for May. And Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mama's out there! ;)

Yesterday I completely forgot to give you the info on this new set, Oopsie Daisy, so let me start by doing that first today...

OOPSIE DAISY
  • features 20 images - 1 large double outlined flower, 1 small double outlined flower, 1 small patterned flower, 1 small solid flower, 2 dotted flower stems, 12 patterned flower petals, 2 flower centers
  • will retail for $15
  • will be available for purchase starting May 15th on the Papertrey Ink website
  • has coordinating dies

Now that we've got that out of the way let's get to today's projects...

The two cards I'm sharing with you today feature the individual patterned petals in the set. I just love these because they can be used for both the flowers petals as well as the leaves.

For the card on the left, I used the Deco Cover Plate to create the pattern on the white card stock and then moved onto my flower. The stem and leaves were stamped in Simply Chartreuse and just below that I stamped my sentiment, from Polka Dot Parade #5, on a strip of Summer Sunrise. For the flower I first die cut my large solid Aqua Mist flower and then die cut my petals. After stamping each one I adhered them to the solid flower and as I did I gave each one a little 'lift' on the end of each petal.

A Berry Sorbet button was added in the center to complete it!

The card on the right I created using the larger double outlined flowers.  The separate petals in the set fit perfectly inside allowing you to create an ENDLESS array of patterned flowers. You could keep the petals all the same, like I did on this card, or stamp each one using a different petal, like I did on card #1.  I finished this last card off by stamping one of the sentiments from Think Big Favorites #7.

Thank you all for stopping in to say hello! And thank you for your sweet comments on yesterdays post...so happy to hear that you love Oopsie Daisy! Here are a few more stops for you today...

Wishing you all a very happy Sunday!
