Oopsie Daisy - Day 4

Hello there, friends! Hope your day has started off nicely. Here we are on day 4 of the countdown with only one to go before the full reveal and release of my new set, Oopsie Daisy. Let's not waste any time and get right to what I have to share with you today.

**All of the new products will be available starting May 15th at 10pm EST on the Papertrey Ink website.**

I'm all about clean and simple cards lately and this is one that I created for today's post. I used the small double outlined flower along with the small striped flower that was stamped inside. The sentiment is from Think Big Favorites #4.

I loved using those Journaling Lines as a background on day 3 and decided to use them again on this note card and matching envelope.  After stamping the lines on both the card and envelope, I moved onto my flowers, stamping the stems and leaves first and then stamping my double outlined flowers. Next, I filled them in using the patterned petals in the set.

The sentiment is from Heart-2-Heart #4.

That wraps up day 4 for me but there is still lots more to see from these ladies...

Thanks so very much for visiting with me today and checking out my Oopsie Daisy projects. I hope  you are able to see all of the possibilities you have with this new set. I'm looking forward to sharing my final projects with you tomorrow.

Wishing you a happy day!

Oopsie Daisy - Day 3

Welcome! I'm back to share more projects with you using my new set, Oopsie Daisy! Today I'm using those fun petals again to create my flowered note cards. Let's jump right in...

**All of the new products will be available starting May 15th at 10pm EST on the Papertrey Ink website.**

To start, I stamped lines, from Journaling Lines, on the front of the cards. Next, I added a strip of Aqua Mist card stock and stamped my sentiment, from Think Big Favorites #3, above it. My flower stems were stamped in Simply Chartreuse.

I die cut 2 large solid flowers and 2 small solid flowers out of Stampers Select White card stock. All of my individual flower petals were die cut out of Summer Sunrise, Aqua Mist, Simply Chartreuse and Melon Berry and then stamped using the patterned petals in the Oopsie Daisy stamp set.

After stamping each one I started adhering them to my solid white flowers. There are multiple ways you could use these petals....
  1. Adhere the die cut petals inside the solid die cut flower - like I did today
  2. Stamp the petals inside the solid flower die cut.
  3. Attach the die cut petals directly to your card without using the solid die cut flower as your base.
  4. Stamp each of the petals directly to your card stock.

To complete each of my flowers, I used the 2 circles in the die collection to stamp my flower centers and then adhered them to the centers of my flowers.

Keeping it short and sweet for today. I'll have a few more projects for you tomorrow...I look forward to sharing them with you then. Here are a few more stops for you to check out while you're enjoying your morning coffee...

Enjoy your Monday!

Oopsie Daisy - Day 2

Welcome back for day 2 of the Papertrey Ink countdown for May. And Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mama's out there! ;)

Yesterday I completely forgot to give you the info on this new set, Oopsie Daisy, so let me start by doing that first today...

OOPSIE DAISY
  • features 20 images - 1 large double outlined flower, 1 small double outlined flower, 1 small patterned flower, 1 small solid flower, 2 dotted flower stems, 12 patterned flower petals, 2 flower centers
  • will retail for $15
  • will be available for purchase starting May 15th on the Papertrey Ink website
  • has coordinating dies

Now that we've got that out of the way let's get to today's projects...

The two cards I'm sharing with you today feature the individual patterned petals in the set. I just love these because they can be used for both the flowers petals as well as the leaves.

For the card on the left, I used the Deco Cover Plate to create the pattern on the white card stock and then moved onto my flower. The stem and leaves were stamped in Simply Chartreuse and just below that I stamped my sentiment, from Polka Dot Parade #5, on a strip of Summer Sunrise. For the flower I first die cut my large solid Aqua Mist flower and then die cut my petals. After stamping each one I adhered them to the solid flower and as I did I gave each one a little 'lift' on the end of each petal.

A Berry Sorbet button was added in the center to complete it!

The card on the right I created using the larger double outlined flowers.  The separate petals in the set fit perfectly inside allowing you to create an ENDLESS array of patterned flowers. You could keep the petals all the same, like I did on this card, or stamp each one using a different petal, like I did on card #1.  I finished this last card off by stamping one of the sentiments from Think Big Favorites #7.

Thank you all for stopping in to say hello! And thank you for your sweet comments on yesterdays post...so happy to hear that you love Oopsie Daisy! Here are a few more stops for you today...

Wishing you all a very happy Sunday!

Introducing Oopsie Daisy

Welcome to the first day of this months Papertrey Ink release countdown. So many exciting new products this month. I'm very excited to be back and start sharing my projects with you using my new set, Oopsie Daisy. I have been having so much fun creating with this set and hope to inspire you over the next 5 days with all of it's capabilities.

Up first is a pic of the dies that coordinate with this set. As you can see, there are a few different sizes of whole flowers as well as separate petals giving you SO many options when creating.

I always tend to go a little die cut crazy when I first get my new stamps and dies in my hand. :) Here, I die cut a variety of colors....Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Hibiscus Burst, Sweet Blush, Simply Chartreuse and Hawaiian Shores....and then stamped each of them using different images in the Oopsie Daisy stamp set.

Now, let's put those flowers to use. On this first card I started by stamping a piece of Hawaiian Shores card stock using the Background Basics: Woodgrain set. That was layered over white and then both adhered to the front of my Smokey Shadow card base. I used the Tag Sale #10 dies for my sentiment to sit in. The sentiment is from Just Smile.

I added my colorful flowers around the frame and then finished it off my adding buttons to the centers of each of my flowers.

This next card was so simple to create and I just love the end result. A simple white card + your die cut flowers adhered to the front + a simple little sentiment. You could also stamp your flowers instead of using the die cuts but I just love the bold result of the dies.

This sentiment, from Wonderful Words Hello, was stamped on a banner die cut using the Tag Sale #10 die collection.

For this next card I used the dotted stems in the set and then adhered my flowers to those. I added the leaves, 'hello' and 'friend', for my sentiment.

More buttons were added to complete this one!

I mixed the flowers, stem and leaves from Oopsie Daisy with a sentiment from All About You for this next card.

This is one of the ways where this set will give you many options....the petals for the flowers can also be used as leaves for your stems!

I started off with a white card base on this last card and then stamped a polka dot background using the Polka Dot Basics stamp set. Next, I stamped my sentiment, from Flower Fusion #2, onto another piece of white card stock. Along the bottom and top I stamped the dashed lines from Sew Simple Borders.

I stamped my dotted stem, added my leaves and then started adding my flowers. The scalloped border along the side is from the Be Happy die collection.

And there you have it...day 1 of Oopsie Daisy! I hope you enjoyed my projects. I look forward to sharing more with you all tomorrow. Until then, here are a few more stops for you today....

I hope you all have a happy Saturday!

Stamp Designer Showcase: Back Pocket Basics

Hello there! I'm happy to be sharing a few projects with you today for this months Papertrey Ink Stamp Designer Showcase. This month I am revisiting Back Pocket Basics. Such a sweet set that is filled with a variety of adorable images.

To start today's projects I went a little die cut crazy, as you can see below...

That little sunshine is such a happy guy and one of my favorite images in the whole set!

I put those sunshine's the use on this first card by mixing them with a sentiment from Think Big Favorites #15.

A little closer view of those smiley faces!

Next up...a pocketful of birthday wishes card using the posies and pocket from the set.

After adhering my pocket, posies and little 'love' tag I stamped one of the sentiments from the set. And lastly, I added a scalloped border, from the Be Happy die collection, and a few Aqua Mist buttons to the posies.

A simple love card is up next. I started by stamping the stitched line to the top and bottom of my Vintage Cream card stock. Next, I added all of my die cut hearts. 'LOVE' is from Back Pocket Basics and 'YOU' is from Simply You.  To finish it, I added a Spring Moss button the center of my Spring Moss heart.

And lastly for today is a birthday card for a little boy. It's always a wonderful thing when you can use multiple stamp sets together. On this card I mixed the pocket,  from Back Pocket Basics,  and filled it with images from a few other sets...

The stars along the left side of my card were stamped using the Military Stars stamp set. And lastly, my sentiment, is from Make A Wish.

As my Papertrey Ink collection continues to grow I often forget how much fun it is to use older sets. I hope that I've inspired you just a bit to pull out this set and show it some love.

Thank you for stopping by to say hello. I hope your day is as happy as that smiley little sunshine above! :)
