Saturday Showcase - I Truly Appreciate You

It's time for the next Saturday Showcase with Ink to Paper and this week it's all about Simply Sweet: Thanks! Along with birthday cards, I think thank you cards are probably the most sent. A few of us on the design team have projects to share that will inspire you a bit when it comes to creating with this sweet set and sending your own notes of thanks!

I started by stamping the large wreath in the set, in Sweet Blush ink, onto a piece of white cardstock (3.75 x 5) I wanted that to be a light color because I used that as my guide for placing my individually stamped and die-cut flowers. I didn't want those stamped flower colors peeking out in a darker color underneath.

I chose the colors of the rainbow for my flowers … I listed them all in my supply list below. After I attached them all, I added a few stamped and die-cut leaves, from It's A Sign: Beautiful.

My sentiment was attached across the center of my wreath and then I added a heart just below, from the Paws & Kisses Die Collection.

Before attaching my wreath panel to the front of my card base, I attached strips of colorful cardstock along the bottom to give my card a bit more color. To complete my card, I added tiny clear sequins to the centers of all of my flowers!

Thanks so much for visiting. I'm so excited to see what you create with this new set!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Melissa

Design Team Tips - Die-cut Backgrounds

Happy, Happy Friday to you! I'm popping in on this last day of the week to share a Ink to Paper Design Team Tip with you. I'm a big, big fan of white card bases. They tend to be what I create with the most, and love how they make my colorful images POP off the card, but sometimes I feel they need just a little bit extra.

On my card for today, I chose to die-cut a bunch of white flowers, from the It's A Sign: Beautiful Die Collection, to create a background for my images to rest on.

I used all three sizes of flowers included in the set, die-cut them each multiple times and then simply attached them over the front of my white card base.

I then used the It's A Sign: Beautiful Stamp Set to create the colorful images you see on the front. The frame was die-cut out of Kraft cardstock and stamped with Versamark ink. I stamped the flowers in a combination of bright and cheerful colors … Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise, Pale Peony, Orange Zest and Hibiscus.

After tucking a few leaves underneath, stamping my sentiment and adding colorful sequins to the centers of each flower, I attached the whole thing with dimensional foam! I really love the layer of die-cut flowers underneath. I think it adds just that extra little something!

Thanks so much for visiting with me today!

Ink to Paper Release Countdown - Day 4

Happy Friday, friends! The final day of the Ink to Paper Release Countdown has arrived. It's been an amazing new release, hasn't it? I have two more cards to share with you using the new products introduced today … Tag Creations: Lemon, On the Border: Dazzling Deco and Framing Florals!

**All of the new products will be available June 15th at 10pm EST!**

I am loving the new Framing Florals set! I used one of the large border frames to create a background on my white card base. They were stamped in Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores and Tropical Teal.

In the center of one of the frames, I stamped 'Dear Friend' in True Black.

Around that frame and the sentiment, I added flowers that were stamped and die-cut using Sweet Blush, Raspberry Fizz and Orange Zest. The leaves were stamped in Simply Chartreuse. I finished my first card off with a few clear sequins.

Tag Creations: Lemon and On the Border: Dazzling Deco are up next. This lemon set is so adorable and fun to create with. I used the coordinating Tag Creations: Lemon Die Collection to cut six lemon tags out of white cardstock.

On three of the tags I stamped and decorated them with images from the stamp set and behind each of those I added a lemon tag with part of the On the Border: Dazzling Deco die cut. I added some white twine to tie them together and a bit of white Nuvo drops to the centers of my flowers to complete them!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Melissa

Ink to Paper Release Countdown - Day 3

Friends, we have made it to Day 3 of the Ink to Paper Release Countdown for June. We've introduced some beautiful new products to you so far and we have even more to share over the next two days. Today I'm excited to share a few projects using two new sets that I designed … It's A Sign: Beautiful and Simply Sweet: Thanks! We also have a new Geometrix Die Collection that you are going to love!

**All of the new products you see will be available on the Ink to Paper website on June 15th at 10pm EST!!**

It's A Sign: Beautiful is up first for me today. It's definitely no secret that I adore creating with flowers and I love positive and uplifting words. This set is filled with both!

I started by die-cutting and attaching a Geometrix Oval to my Hawaiian Shores card base.

Inside that frame I stamped my sentiment. I created it as separate images so that the larger words (braver, stronger, smarter and beautiful) could all be stamped in different colors, like I did on my card today.

Next, I stamped and die-cut all of my flowers. Pure Poppy, Hibiscus, Bright Buttercup and Lavender Moon are the colors I used. I attached those around my frame and also stamped and die-cut leaves and tucked those underneath some of the flowers.

In the center of each of the flowers I added black sequins as a final touch!

Simply Sweet: Thanks is up next! This is a wreath building set, but you can truly do so much more with it, like I did on this card. There is a large floral wreath included and that was stamped multiple times onto a white card panel.

Inside those larger wreaths I used the smaller, single flower images in the set to create wreaths inside the larger ones. I repeated that twice and just mixed my colors up to make it super colorful!

There are a variety of sentiments included in the set that you can mix and match. I used a few different ones to create a meaningful sentiment!

I simply cut strips of True Black cardstock and stamped each one in Fresh Snow ink. I then popped them up with dimensional foam!

My final card for today features the Simply Sweet: Thanks Stamp Set and the coordinating Simply Sweet: Thanks Die Collection.

After die-cutting the wreath, I stamped the large floral wreath in Sweet Blush and then filled in with a variety of the small flower images. I also die-cut some smaller flowers and leaves and popped them up with dimensional foam.

The wreath was attached to my card front, again with more dimensional foam, and then I moved onto my sentiment. THANKS was stamped in Hawaiian Shores and then die-cut and attached under the wreath. I finished it off by adding the rest of my sentiment and then added a few clear sequins inside the wreath!

I hope you enjoyed my projects for today and hope I've inspired you a little when it comes to creating with these new sets. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Enjoy your day!
Melissa

Ink to Paper Release Countdown - Day 2

Hello again, crafty friends! Welcome back for Day 2 of the Ink to Paper Release Countdown. Today we are introducing three wonderful new products … Tag Creations: Joyful Jars, Joyful Jars and Just Sentiments: To & From Essentials

**All of the new products you see will be available on the Ink to paper website on June 15th at 10pm EST!**

Up first is Tag Creations: Joyful Jars. This is a large die collection that is just filled with so many bits and pieces and will create the most beautiful projects!

I started with a white card base and attached a piece of Bitty Big: Pale Peony paper along the bottom and a strip of Berry Sorbet along the side. I had die-cut a variety of images from the tag collection to create my jar. There are so many flowers to choose from in this set, but I focused on just one of them for my card today.

After I had all of the pieces of the jar assembled and attached I added white Nuvo drops to the centers of all of the flowers. To complete it I added a sentiment from Just Sentiments: To & From Essentials and a bit of white twine around the side.

On my second card I started by stamping the 'thanks' sentiment, from Just Sentiments: To & From Essentials, multiple times onto a piece of Tropical Teal cardstock. I die cut the jar using the Tag Creations: Joyful Jars and stamped it using Joyful Jars. I did a little water-coloring inside the jar and then attached it to the center of my card with dimensional foam.

I stamped one of the sentiments from Joyful Jars to a die cut tag and attached that, along with a flower from You Are My Happy, to the jar. A couple of leaves and a yellow sequins complete card two.

Thanks for stopping by today. You can visit the Ink to Paper Blog for more inspiration using these new products!

Ink to Paper Release Countdown - Day 1

Good morning, friends and welcome to Day 1 of the June Ink to Paper Release Countdown. Our first day is filled with sets and images that are perfect for all things related to celebrations! Today includes … More of: Celebrating You, Confetti Streamers, Garden Party and Watercolor Textures: Dots.

**All of the new products you see will be available on the Ink to Paper website on June 15th at 10pm EST!**

More of: Celebrating You and Confetti Streamers are the sets I used on my first card. Both are just perfect for creating quick and easy cards, as well as more detailed. I started by stamping one of the confetti images in Confetti Streamers along the top of my white card base. That was stamped in Hawaiian Shores ink.

I stamped one of the balloon strings multiple times just below the confetti. There are a few different balloon images in the set. I chose the star shaped one to create with for today. I stamped and die-cut three of them and then popped them up with dimensional foam above the balloon strings I had stamped. The colors I used on those … Pale Peony, Melon Berry and Harvest Gold.

Sending happy thoughts was stamped on a strip of Hawaiian shores and then attached with dimensional foam. To complete my first card I stamped and die-cut two swirly strings, attached those and added a few colorful sequins!

My second card for today features Garden Party and Watercolor Textures: Dots. I couldn't help but make this one super bright and cheery! I started by creating a rectangle frame using the Nesting Basics: Rectangles Dies. Around that frame I stamped one of the images in Watercolor Textures: Dots, in a variety of bright colors.

That was attached to a white card base and then set aside. Next, I used the new Garden Party to create my banners. This set is so great and is filled with such a variety of options for creating with it. I used the individual letters to stamp out HAPPY on each die-cut banner.

After attaching them across my card, I stamped 'birthday' just underneath to complete my sentiment. As a final touch, I added more color with sequins!

That wraps up Day 1 from me. The rest of the gals have so much to share with you today. Be sure to pop on over to the Ink to Paper Blog to see their projects!

Thanks for visiting with me!

Saturday Showcase - Watercolor Textures: Brush Strokes

Hi friends! It's time for another Saturday Showcase with Ink to Paper! Watercolor Textures: Brush Strokes is our featured set this week and a few of us on the team have created projects to share with you! Let's jump right into my card for today ...

To begin, I wanted to create a background for my images and sentiment to sit on. I stamped one of the brush strokes onto a white card base in the following colors … Sweet Blush, Hibiscus, Bright Buttercup and Orange Zest.

I die-cut 'Smile' from the Frame It out: Wishes Die Collection and attached that in the center of my stamped background. Underneath, I added the rest of my sentiment from the Frame It Out: Wishes Stamp Set. That was stamped in Fresh Snow onto a strip of True Black cardstock and then popped up with dimensional foam. Next, I die-cut and stamped 3 of the floral images from Nature's Background Essentials. Those were also popped up with dimensional foam.

To complete my card I added a few leaves and colorful sequins!

Thanks so much for popping in today!
