Spellbinders July Small Die of the Month

Hey there, friends! Do you already subscribe to the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month? If you don't, you will certainly want to check it out. It's a monthly kit that releases on the 1st of each month, and this month features florals, leaves and paisleys! They are GORGEOUS!

There are a total of 10 dies in this month's kit, but for my card I used just the three flowers that are included. I'm a HUGE fan of die-cutting and creating with flowers, so I had serious heart eyes when I saw this kit. I chose a cheerful color combination and just mixed the flowers up after they were all die-cut. I love that you are able to layer these flowers to create a variety of different colors.

After the flowers were all assembled, I simply attached them all to a crisp white card base. To finish it, I added sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Best Parents set.

This is just one of the cards I created with this fantastic kit … I'll share another with you soon. There is still time to grab the kit for yourself. Trust me, you are going to love it. To see more inspiration you can visit the Spellbinders blog.

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown - Day 5

Welcome to the final day of the July Papertrey Ink release countdown, friends! I have truly loved creating with all of these wonderful new products and hope you have enjoyed all I have shared with you. Tomorrow night is the night, so start preparing your list. ;)

I have one card to share with you today and it features the new, and oh so beautiful, Orchid Expressions and Words to Live By: Inspire

**All of the new products will be available July 15th at 10pm EST!**

I kept my card very clean and simple for today. I started by stamping and die-cutting the orchid and the plant pot that it's sitting in.  After those were die-cut I attached them to my card front and then moved onto my sentiment. I just love all of the layering of colors and detail in these images.

Words to Live By: Inspire … I adore this set and all of the sentiments included. Using the coordinating inspire die, I die-cut it twice out of Raspberry Fizz. I layered those together and attached it to my card. and then finished it off by stamping you and me above and below … you inspire me!

It's short, sweet and simple for me today, but you can head on over to the Papertrey Ink blog for more projects using these two new sets. Plus, there are two more products being introduced today, Botanical Bounty Sentiments and Scallop Stackers and the team will be sharing projects using those, as well. There is lots of inspiration to be seen!

Have a wonderful Saturday, friends!

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown - Day 4

Hey there, friends! Happy Friday to you. Here we are on Day 4 of the Papertrey Ink release countdown, which means we are getting closer to the release. YAY! Today, I have two cards to share … one featuring the new Ombre Sentiments: Thinking of You and Pierced Feature Frames and the other is a fun card created with Glorious Globes: July!

**All of the new products will be available July 15th at 10pm EST!**

This first card is a cheerful one created with one of the new sentiments from the Ombre Sentiments: Thinking of You set. I really love a sentiment set that's filled with uplifting + positive words, like this one is. I used the Pierced Feature Frames and die-cut three of them … two for the outer border and one for my sentiment to be stamped on. The striped paper is a new release this month as well and the next collection in the Bitty Big series.

The flowers were die-cut from the Corner Adorner: February set and the leave is a leftover Botanical Bounty ll die that I had from a previous project.

Up next is a colorful card created with Glorious Globes: July. Sweet Blush, Pure Poppy, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Hawaiian Shores and Vintage Jadeite were the colors I used. I started by stamping the leaf image in the set on my card front to create a border around the outer edge. I then die-cut a frame from the Pierced Feature Frames die collection and attached that to the front. I stamped and die-cut all of the globes and then attached those to the front, as well, popping a few up with dimensional foam. The sentiment is from Sentiment Staples: Thinking of You

And a few clear sequins were added to complete it!

Only one day left, friends. What new sets are you eyeing so far? I'd love to hear. I'll see you right back here tomorrow for the final day of the countdown, but before you log off for the day be sure to head on over to the Papertrey Ink blog for more on these new products!

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown - Day 3

Good morning! It's Day 3 of this month's Papertrey Ink countdown and I have three cards to share with you today. There are so many great new products this month and today we are introducing three more … Sentiment Staples: Thinking of You, Shape Shifters: Square 2 die and Kit N' Caboodle

**All of the new products will be available July 15th at 10pm EST!**

I had a little too much fun with the new Shape Shifters: Square 2 die. I started with die-cutting one and then just couldn't stop and ended up creating this pretty quilt like card. I chose Pale Peony, Hibiscus, Raspberry Fizz and Green Parakeet for my color combo and just mixed the colors up in each of the squares.

After I had them all assembled, I added dimensional foam to the backs of each one and attached them to my card base.

I stamped my sentiment, from Sentiment Staples: Thinking of You, in Green Parakeet and popped that up with dimensional foam before attaching it.

Melon Berry, Vintage Jadeite, Hawaiian Shores and Harvest Gold is my color combo for card #2. I started by die-cutting the square in Hawaiian Shores and then added a panel of white cardstock behind. That was then attached to my Vintage Jadeite card base with dimensional foam.

After stamping my sentiment and attaching that, I stamped and die-cut a butterfly, from Butterfly Folk, and attached that to the lower left corner. I also die-cut Harvest Gold flowers, using the Bunny Blessings die collection, and attached those around my square and in the center of my butterfly.

I added a few light pink sequins to complete card #2.

I went with a clean, sweet and simple card for my last card, using the Sentiments Staples: Thinking of You set. I chose bright, happy colors to work with … Orange Zest, Sweet Blush, Hibiscus, Bright Buttercup and Hawaiian Shores. I stamped one of the sentiments down the right side of my card front and then stamped 'you're in my heart' in black and popped that up with more dimensional foam.

The heart is from the Paws & Kisses die collection. I die-cut that out of Hibiscus and attached that before adding a few clear sequins to complete it.

That wraps up day 3 for me. I hope you enjoyed the projects I shared with as much as I enjoyed making them. :) There is still so much more to see, so be sure to pop on over to the Papertrey Ink blog for more!

Enjoy your day, friends!

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown - Day 2

Hey there, crafty friends! Welcome back for Day 2 of this month's Papertrey Ink countdown. Today we are introducing two new stamp sets with coordinating dies and one new Bold Borders die … Yellow Sunshine, Bold Borders: Prism and Banners & Pennants!

**All of the new products will be available July 15th at 10pm EST!**

Up first is a card created with the Bold Borders: Prism die mixed with a sentiment from Yellow Sunshine. I just love these Bold Borders dies and love it when I can fill the spaces with colorful cardstock, like I did here. After die-cutting the border out of white and attaching it to my card base, I chose bright rainbow colored cardstock to fill in some of those negative spaces.

The Yellow Sunshine set is so much fun and filled with all kinds of positivity. You can't help but smile when you create with it. Such a happy set! There are several sentiments to choose from, like the one I added to my card … 'Shine brightly...you were made to".

My second card for today features the new Banners & Pennants. I started with a white card base and stamped one of the starburst images in the set to create my background. I chose a pastel color palette using Harvest Gold, Lilac Grace, Aqua Mist and Vintage Jadeite. Next, using the Banners & Pennants die, I die-cut my banner out of white. There are three word dies that are also included in the die collection. I picked 'be brave' and die-cut that out of the center of my banner and then die-cut the words again out of Harvest Gold and Vintage Jadeite to fill in the negative word space.

I then popped that banner up in the center of my card base with dimensional foam. The flowers I added are from the Butterfly Blooms and the leaves are from Botanical Bounty ll. To finish it, I added clear dew drops to the center of my flowers!

I hope you enjoyed my projects for today. These new products are pretty amazing! For more inspiration using these new stamp sets and dies be sure to visit the Papertrey Ink blog.

Have a wonderful day, friends!

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown - Day 1

Hello, friends! Welcome to Day 1 of the July Papertrey Ink countdown. We have lots of wonderful new products to share with you this month … you are going to love them! Day 1 features the new Corner Adorner: July, Fence Line: Summer and a new sentiment set, Never Enough: Thanks!

**All of the new products will be available July 15th at 10pm EST!**

Up first is Corner Adorner: July. I absolutely love this new set! It has almost a lacey look to it, which is just beautiful. I used only one of the corner stamps + dies (there are two) to create my card. I stamped and die-cut it in four colors … Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold, Pale Peony and Lilac Grace. I then attached the pieces around my white card panel to create a border.

I then stamped the sentiment onto a strip of white and popped it up with dimensional foam. A few clear sequins were added and then the panel was attached to my Lilac Grace card base.

Fence Line: Summer is up next. This set features images to create a pretty beach-y scene. I started by die-cutting a piece of white card-stock using the Noted: Simply Stitched A2 Vertical die. I stamped the sand image in the set across the center of that and then worked on building my scene. I stamped and die-cut multiple images and attached those, some with dimensional foam.

The sentiment is from the new Never Enough: Thanks

That wraps up day 1 for me, but there is still sooo much more to see from the rest of the team. Head on over to the Papertrey Ink blog to see more great projects using these beautiful new sets. You can also find all of the details on all of these new sets RIGHT HERE

Thanks so much for sharing part of your day with me. I'll see you tomorrow!

Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #23 - Mixed Media

Happy Monday, friends! Are you ready for the next Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge? It's going to be a fun one. This month we are sharing Mixed Media projects and we are so excited to see what you come up with.

For my card, I have a mix of watercolors, ink and felt! I started with a white card panel that I did a bit of watercolor splattering on. That was the base for my Just Because images to sit on. I then die-cut the rectangle and popped that up with dimensional foam. Next, I die-cut part of my sentiment (because) and stamped the remainder on a strip of hot pink cardstock.

Using hot pink, light pink and orange felt, I die-cut flowers and attached those around my frame. I also die-cut leaves and tucked those underneath my flowers. To complete my card, I added a clear dew drops to the centers of each of my flowers!

And now it's your turn! We'd love to see your take on this challenge. You have until July 29th to upload your Mixed Media project on the Where Creativity Meets C9 blog and enter for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Concord & 9th!

Happy creating!
