Day 5 - Words to Live By: Learn + Stitching Garden + Glorious Globes: March + Shape Shifters
Welcome back for Day 5 of the March Papertrey Ink Release Countdown! It's been such an amazing week of sneak peeks and beautiful projects!
**Just a reminder that all of the new products will be available in the Papertrey Ink store on March 15th at 10pm EST.**
**Just a reminder that all of the new products will be available in the Papertrey Ink store on March 15th at 10pm EST.**
We have a few more peeks for you to see today, so let's jump right in...
Up first is this gorgeous floral set, Stitching Garden. I adore flower sets and can't wait to spend more time creating with this one. Also included is a sentiment from the new Words to Live By: Learn stamp set.
I started by stamping my sentiment onto a white card base, in crisp black ink. Next, I added two strips of Hawaiian Shores cardstock, one along the left side and one along the bottom. Now it's time for those beautiful flowers. I used the coordinating Stitching Garden die collection and stamped/die-cut all of my flowers and leaves before popping them up on my card front with dimensional foam.
A few clear dew drops were added to some of the flowers to finish card #1.
Card #2 features the new Glorious Globes: March stamp set and Shape Shifters: Oval #1 die. I started with a Lilac Grace card base and attached a strip of Hibiscus Burst and Bright Buttercup along the left side. I then die-cut my oval, from the Shape Shifters: Oval #1 collection, out of white cardstock and attached it to the front. Next came the globes. This new set coordinates with the Glorious Globes: Basics set and Glorious Globes: Basics die collection. After stamping and die-cutting each one I added them to the center of my oval.
More clear dew drops and white twine were added to complete this card!

Day 4 - Bold Borders - Diagonal + Sentiment Staples: Thank You
Hey there, friends! Welcome back for Day 4 of the March Papertrey Ink Release Countdown. It's been an absolutely amazing countdown so far, hasn't it? Today, I'm thrilled to be sharing my very first featured post with you, using the new Bold Borders: Diagonal + Sentiment Staples: Thank you.
**Just a reminder that all of the new products will be available in the Papertrey Ink store on March 15th at 10pm EST.**
The second I saw the new Bold Borders: Diagonal die I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I love, love, love color and love filling in the negative spaces of dies to create the most colorful projects. That's just what I did with this new die. I simply die-cut five of them, one out of white to use as my base, and four more colorful ones to fill in those empty spaces in the white one.
I chose Melon Berry, Hibiscus Burst, Lemon Tart and Green Parakeet for my color combo. A nice springy color combination! The easiest way to fill in the empty spaces for me is to flip the main die-cut image over so it's face down on my work surface. In this case it would be the white one. Then I just start filling it in with all the colorful diagonal pieces. I usually do a few at a time and then to secure them in place add a strip of scotch tape. I keep repeating the process until it is completely filled in!
Before adhering it to my card base I added dimensional foam on the back to give it a little lift. I then started working on embellishing with butterflies from Butterfly Blooms and a sentiment from the new Sentiment Staples: Thank You.
Using my white gel pen I added polka dots to the bodies of the butterflies and a few clear and hot pink sequins around my sentiment!
Sticking with the same color combination, I created this second card doing something a little different with the Bold Borders: Diagonal die. I die-cut it four times, in the same colors I did on the first card, and then cut them up so I could create a multi colored frame.
After creating my colorful frame on the front of my white card base I moved onto the center. I stamped the butterfly from A Bit More: Butterfly Blooms and just below stamped the 'thank you' from Sentiment Staples: Thank You. I stamped the remainder of my sentiment onto a strip of white cardstock and popped it up with a strip of dimensional foam.
I then attached the whole rectangle to the center of my frame with more dimensional foam and finished it off by adding a few clear sequins to the body of my butterfly.
I kept my last card for the day super sweet and simple using the Sentiment Staples: Thank You stamp set. There wasn't a whole lot needed to create this...just a few strips of colorful cardstock and a simple flower die.
I used two of the 'Thank You' images in the set and stamped each one twice. I popped them up on my card front with dimensional foam ( I LOVE dimension...can you tell? ;) and then stamped the remainder of my sentiment in black ink onto a strip of white cardstock. That was also popped up and then a flower (from Butterfly Blooms die collection) was added.
A simple pink sequins added to my flower was all I needed to complete it!
I hope you enjoyed my projects today. I know I enjoyed creating and sharing them with you. Thank you for taking time out of your day to visit with me. I sure do appreciate you!

Day 3 - Corner Adorner: March + Penned Elegance + Dream, Fly, Soar
Happy Monday to you, friends! Welcome to Day 3 of this month's Papertrey Ink countdown. Today we are sharing projects using three new sets ... Corner Adorner: March, Penned Elegance and Dream, Fly, Soar!
**Just a reminder that all of the new products will be available March 15th at 10pm EST!**
**Just a reminder that all of the new products will be available March 15th at 10pm EST!**
Let's jump right into what I have to share today ...
First up, Corner Adorner: March! I love the concept of these little sets and can't wait to see what the remainder of the year will bring for designs. I chose one of my favorite color combos to create with. I trimmed a piece of white cardstock, slightly smaller than my card base, and stamped the main border four times in Pure Poppy. I went back over each of the borders and filled in the swirls with Hawaiian Shores and Pale Peony. Next came my sentiment and a few sequins surrounding it. I attached the card panel to my base and then wrapped white twine around to complete it.
Up next, Penned Elegance! No doubt this set is going to get a lot of love from me (and so many others)! I love a white background with lots of color popping off the front and that's what I did here. I started by stamping 'hello friend' using the lowercase letters in the set. Around that I stamped the butterfly, from A Bit More: Butterfly Blooms, in a variety of bright + happy colors. I also created a matching envelope for a special touch.
Last up for me today is Dream, Fly, Soar ... LOVE the large, bold font in this set. I started by stamping the 'Fly' onto white and then did a little die-cutting to embellish around that. There are a few different kite images in the set and I focused on just one of them. After die-cutting them all, I used the small star trio image and stamped each one. Those were attached randomly around my card front, a few popped up with dimensional foam. Along the right side, I added a strip of white cardstock that I had stamped with 'spread your wings'. To complete it, I added a few black bows to my balloons and clear sequins.
That brings Day 3 to a close for me, but there is still so much more to see from my inspiring teammates. Pop on over to the Papertrey Ink blog to read the full post and see all of the cards created for you today.
As always, I truly appreciate you taking the time to say hello! Have a wonderful day, friends!

Papertrey Ink - Day 2 - Butterfly Blooms + A Bit More Butterfly Blooms + School days + Great Teachers + Big apple Die
Hello again, friends! It's Day 2 of the March Papertrey Ink Release Countdown and today is all about beautiful butterflies and school days. All of the new products you are seeing peeks of will be available March 15th at 10pm EST!
Up first from me is a peek at the beautiful new Butterfly Blooms set...
The detail in this set, and all of the bits and pieces included, make it simply gorgeous. To begin my card, I started by die-cutting flowers using the coordinating Butterfly Blooms die collection. I die-cut them out of white, pink and yellow card-stock. I attached all of the white flowers along the left side of my card front and then attached a few pink and yellow ones over some of the white. I stamped by sentiment and then die-cut two butterflies to place above that. Using my white gel pen, I made polka dots on the butterfly bodies. Lastly, a few clear and hot pink sequins complete it!

My second peek for today is of the Big Apple Die and Great Teachers...
I started with a Kraft card base and die-cut my pink patterned apple (more on the new paper coming soon) and attached it off to the left side of my card. My stem and leave were die-cut out of Green Parakeet cardstock. I stamped my sentiment, from the new Great Teachers stamp set, onto a piece of white. I wrapped a bit of white twine around it before popping it up on my card with dimensional foam. To complete it, I die cut a flower from the Butterfly Blooms set and attached it to my apple, along with a clear dew drop!
That's all from me for Day 2. Be sure to check out the Papertrey Ink blog and the rest of the team to see what they have to share with you.
Thanks so much for visiting with me. See you tomorrow with more Papertrey goodness!

Papertrey Ink - Ink It In
Hello! The March Papertrey Ink countdown is fully underway and there are so many beautiful new products coming your way. I'm a day late in posting my card from yesterday using the new Ink It In stamp set. All of the new products will be available on March 15th at 10pm EST on the Papertrey Ink website!
I adore the pens that are included in this new set and love that there are so many mix and match options. It truly is so much fun to stamp with! I chose to keep my card CAS, but very colorful!
Starting with a white card-base, I stamped my row of outlined pens along the top and bottom to create a border. I went with a rainbow color scheme and stamped my solid pen images inside, alternating colors. My sentiment was stamped using three of the sentiments included in the set and around that I attached a few clear sequins. And lastly, I added a bit of white twine!
You can find lots more inspiration using this new set on the Papertrey Ink blog. Thanks so much for visiting with me!

Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #19 - Sketch
Happy Friday to you! There is a new challenge starting today over on the Where Creativity Meets C9 blog. This month we are trying something we've never done before...
a fun SKETCH! This sketch is very simple, but could be interpreted in so many ways, as you will be able to see from the design team.
I chose to use Petals & Pallets for my card. I started by cutting 3 strips of colorful cardstock and stamped those using one of the wood slat images. I attached those to my white card base and then moved onto my sentiment. I stamped and die-cut all of my flowers and leaves and popped those up using dimensional foam. To finish it, I added a few clear sequins to each of the flowers!
Now it's your turn to create a card for the challenge! I can't wait to see all of your takes on this. You have until March 29 to get your entries in and don't forget, there is a $25 gift certificate to the Concord & 9th store for the winner!
Happy creating!

Creating with Spellbinders - You Matter to Me
Happy Saturday! I'm back to share another card using the beautiful Spellbinders die collection that I created with the other day. I've been having a little too much fun with the Shapeabilities Eau De Lavande Label Etched Dies. My card for today is filled with so much color and I only used two of the dies in the set to create it.
I used the insert die and lavender sprig together. I die cut a bunch of the lavender in a variety of bright colors and created a floral frame border on the front of my card.
I die-cut the frame insert, to place inside my floral border, using Kraft cardstock. My sentiment is from Concord & 9th's Just Because stamp set. That was stamped on a strip of white and then popped up inside the insert with dimensional foam.
After my pieces were all assembled and attached I added a few clear sequins to finish it and give it a little sparkle!
I hope this colorful card brightened your day! Thanks for taking the time to visit with me on your Saturday. Enjoy your day!
