Fall 2016 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Autumn Blessings
Happy Friday and happy fall, crafty friends! I've been so looking forward to the start of the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and am so excited that it's here. Fall + coffee + stamping...can't think of a better way to end my week!
For my card today I used the Coffee Helps stamp set from Verve Stamps. This is the first time I inked it up and I already know this will be the first of many cards I make with it. It's so sweet and all of those coffee images and sayings are perfect for any time of year!
Working with a crisp, white card base, I started by stamping my sentiment, 'Autumn Blessings'. Next came all of those pretty floral coffee cups...my favorite cup in the set. :) I randomly stamped them around my sentiment and then began coloring them in with my Copics.
After all of my cups were colored, I added a strip of pink card-stock along the top that was stamped using one of the stitched lines in the Sew Simple Borders Mini set from Papertrey Ink.
Along the left side of my card, I die cut two pieces of card-stock, using the First Place die collection from Papertrey Ink, and attached those along with a pretty pink button. And for the final touch, I rounded the bottom right corner with a corner rounder punch.
Thank you for taking the time to visit with me. I hope you enjoyed!
Wishing you a happy, hopping day! :)

Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #1 - Celebration
Welcome to the very first Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge. I'm so happy that you are here and so excited you will be joining us for all of the fun. This month's challenge will focus on 'Celebration'. There are so many wonderful reasons to celebrate...from birthdays and anniversaries to friendship and love...and the list goes on. We can't wait to see what you all come up with!
I always like to keep my birthday card pile growing, so I have plenty when it comes time to send or give one out. So for today, I created a cheerful birthday card in honor of Challenge #1.
I started by die-cutting the birthday cake using the Happy Day die set. I then stamped the cake outline image, from Happy Day, and began coloring in those beautiful flowers, using the Copics you see in the photo above... N1, YR16, RV04, Y35 and YG13. Celebrations definitely call for glitter, so I added two strips of glitter along the 'frosting' layers. Next, I moved onto my sentiment, die-cutting the large 'HAPPY' and stamping the 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' just underneath. To give my card more of a base to sit on, I die cut another cake out of black card-stock and adhered it under my floral cake.
I set that aside and then moved onto my card-base. On a piece of white card-stock, I stamped two of the flag poles. On a separate piece of card-stock, I stamped the flags and numbers, cut them out and adhered them to the tops of the poles. And lastly, I added two strips of colorful card-stock along the side and attached my cake with foam adhesive.
Now it's your turn to create a 'Celebration' project. Be sure to read the challenge rules on how you can enter to win a $25 gift certificate from our wonderful challenge sponsor, Concord & 9th. And there is a pretty awesome bonus...the best entry will be asked to guest-design for a future challenge. It could be you! :) The challenge ends September 29th.

Tag You're It! Featured Artist
Hello there, crafty friends. I'm thrilled to be guesting for the Tag You're It! Challenge this week. This was a lot of fun for me. I don't create many tags, mostly cards, so this was a nice change. Thanks so much Tracey for inviting me!
I used a mix of a few different stamp sets and dies to create this tag. I started by die-cutting two tags using the Papertrey Ink die, Tag Sale #5...one in white and one in Berry Sorbet. I then stamped each of them, one in polka-dots and one in flowers, using the adorable Simon Says Stamp set, Birthday Flowers. My sentiment was die-cut using the Honey Bee Stamps die, Smile. I tied them together with light pink floss to complete it!
I hope I've inspired you just a little to create a tag of your own and hope you'll play along! You can find all of the details HERE. Have fun!
