Ink to Paper Release Countdown - Day 1

Hey there, friends! It's time to kick off this month's Ink to Paper Release Countdown. We have so many exciting new products to share with you over the next four days. You won't want to miss it!

Up first is a new set that I designed, Dandelion Wishes! It is filled with super fun dandelion images, along with sentiments that are cute and sweet and are the perfect companion to the flowers. There is also a mini set, Dandelion Wishes Sentiments, that includes even more of those fun sentiments.

Bright, fun and fresh is what I wanted to create for my first card. There are three different size dandelions in the set and each of those include an outlined image along with a solid image. The set also includes individual dots so you can fill in the dandelion like I did on my first card.

I chose a variety of bright, cheery colors and just went to town filling them all in. Behind my dandelions is an oval that I die-cut using the Geometrix: Oval Die.

Love, Kisses & Dandelion Wishes was stamped on True Black and attached with dimensional foam. To finish my card, I added a clear sequins to the center of each of the dandelions.

My second card isn't as bright, but it still is cheery! I started by adding Bitty Big: Limeade Ice paper to my card front. I set that aside and then cut a piece of white cardstock down to 4 x 5.25 and stamped my dandelion stem right in the center.

I used the coordinating Dandelion Wishes Die Collection and stamped and die-cut two of the dandelions. The larger was stamped in Limeade Ice and the smaller in Aqua Mist. Those were layered over one another and then attached above the stem. Along the bottom I added a strip of Aqua Mist that I had stamped with the smallest dandelion in the set. Just above that I added my sentiment … Sending you special birthday wishes!

A few colorful sequins complete my second card!

I have more bright and colorful for card #3. I did lots of stamping and die-cutting using a variety of colors. I'll list them all below in my supply list!

After they were all attached to my card front, I went over each one and filled each of the circles in with white Nuvo Drops. It's a little hard to see from the photos, but it adds that extra little WOW factor to the dandelions.

I stamped the large WISH and added Make A just above before attaching a few colorful sequins to complete it.

My final card for today features a mix of three new products … Simply Sentiments, Banner Builder: Basics and Watercolor Textures: Abstract!

Watercolor Textures: Abstract is such a fun little set to have on hand. Perfect for creating your own unique backgrounds. I chose the X's in the set to work with and stamped three rows full of color. I then chose the small rectangle banner from the Banner Builder: Basics Die Collection to stamp the sentiment, from Simply Sentiments, on.

That wraps up Day 1 for me. Pop on over to the Ink to Paper Blog to see more beautiful projects from the rest of the ladies!

Have a wonderful day!

Transformation Tuesday - Love You

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another Transformation Tuesday with Ink to Paper and this week I'm hosting. I just love the Framing Florals Stamp Set and was so happy with the end result of my original card you see below...

You can find my original post right HERE!

For my transformed card, I first chose a brighter color palette using Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Hibiscus and Pure Poppy as my base colors. I stamped the background, this time switching the direction of the hexagon shaped frame.

In the center of the middle hexagon I stamped 'love you' in True Black ink.

I really wanted my background to stand out on this card, so I chose to keep my flowers simple black and white. I stamped and die-cut those, using the Framing Florals Die Collection, and attached them around the center hexagon. I also added a few leaves around them.

To complete my transformed card, I added a few sequins around the leaves and colorful Nuvo drops to the centers of three of my flowers!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Melissa

Saturday Showcase - I Truly Appreciate You

It's time for the next Saturday Showcase with Ink to Paper and this week it's all about Simply Sweet: Thanks! Along with birthday cards, I think thank you cards are probably the most sent. A few of us on the design team have projects to share that will inspire you a bit when it comes to creating with this sweet set and sending your own notes of thanks!

I started by stamping the large wreath in the set, in Sweet Blush ink, onto a piece of white cardstock (3.75 x 5) I wanted that to be a light color because I used that as my guide for placing my individually stamped and die-cut flowers. I didn't want those stamped flower colors peeking out in a darker color underneath.

I chose the colors of the rainbow for my flowers … I listed them all in my supply list below. After I attached them all, I added a few stamped and die-cut leaves, from It's A Sign: Beautiful.

My sentiment was attached across the center of my wreath and then I added a heart just below, from the Paws & Kisses Die Collection.

Before attaching my wreath panel to the front of my card base, I attached strips of colorful cardstock along the bottom to give my card a bit more color. To complete my card, I added tiny clear sequins to the centers of all of my flowers!

Thanks so much for visiting. I'm so excited to see what you create with this new set!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Melissa

Design Team Tips - Die-cut Backgrounds

Happy, Happy Friday to you! I'm popping in on this last day of the week to share a Ink to Paper Design Team Tip with you. I'm a big, big fan of white card bases. They tend to be what I create with the most, and love how they make my colorful images POP off the card, but sometimes I feel they need just a little bit extra.

On my card for today, I chose to die-cut a bunch of white flowers, from the It's A Sign: Beautiful Die Collection, to create a background for my images to rest on.

I used all three sizes of flowers included in the set, die-cut them each multiple times and then simply attached them over the front of my white card base.

I then used the It's A Sign: Beautiful Stamp Set to create the colorful images you see on the front. The frame was die-cut out of Kraft cardstock and stamped with Versamark ink. I stamped the flowers in a combination of bright and cheerful colors … Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise, Pale Peony, Orange Zest and Hibiscus.

After tucking a few leaves underneath, stamping my sentiment and adding colorful sequins to the centers of each flower, I attached the whole thing with dimensional foam! I really love the layer of die-cut flowers underneath. I think it adds just that extra little something!

Thanks so much for visiting with me today!

Ink to Paper Release Countdown - Day 4

Happy Friday, friends! The final day of the Ink to Paper Release Countdown has arrived. It's been an amazing new release, hasn't it? I have two more cards to share with you using the new products introduced today … Tag Creations: Lemon, On the Border: Dazzling Deco and Framing Florals!

**All of the new products will be available June 15th at 10pm EST!**

I am loving the new Framing Florals set! I used one of the large border frames to create a background on my white card base. They were stamped in Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores and Tropical Teal.

In the center of one of the frames, I stamped 'Dear Friend' in True Black.

Around that frame and the sentiment, I added flowers that were stamped and die-cut using Sweet Blush, Raspberry Fizz and Orange Zest. The leaves were stamped in Simply Chartreuse. I finished my first card off with a few clear sequins.

Tag Creations: Lemon and On the Border: Dazzling Deco are up next. This lemon set is so adorable and fun to create with. I used the coordinating Tag Creations: Lemon Die Collection to cut six lemon tags out of white cardstock.

On three of the tags I stamped and decorated them with images from the stamp set and behind each of those I added a lemon tag with part of the On the Border: Dazzling Deco die cut. I added some white twine to tie them together and a bit of white Nuvo drops to the centers of my flowers to complete them!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Melissa
