Papertrey Ink April Release - Day 5 - Simple Impressions: Celebrations
Hello, friends! Welcome to the final day of the April Papertrey Ink Release Countdown. All of the new products we've been sharing will be available tomorrow, April 15th at 10pm EST on the Papertrey Ink website.
Today I have the pleasure of sharing a few projects using the new Simple Impressions: Celebrations kit. If you are new to stamping this would be a wonderful kit to get you started. It would also make the perfect gift for a special friend who is new to stamping and card-making.
My projects were created with ONLY the contents in the kit ... no extras at all. So you'll see that you don't need a lot of supplies to make a beautiful card or set of cards. The kit will have everything you need ... a stamp set, patterned card panels, mini ink cubes, adhesive, white card bases, sequins and a stamping block.
Up first is a sweet birthday card using the candle image included in the stamp set. I stamped them three times in Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist and Green Parakeet. The sentiment is three separate images, so there are plenty of mix and match options when it comes to creating your cards.
I added a few star sequins (included in the kit) around the candles and sentiment to give my one layer card a little sparkle.
For my second card I used one of the white card bases and created my own pattern using the butterfly image. Aqua Mist and Green Parakeet were the colors I used. I stamped them up the right side of my card and then stamped my sentiment in True Black. I added one more butterfly next to my sentiment before attaching colorful sequins to some of my butterfly bodies.
Don't forget to dress up your envelopes! A plain white envelope can be kinda blah, but when you carry over your card design to your envelope it creates truly beautiful snail mail.
A closer look at those pretty butterflies! Love the detail in them.
I didn't even realize I created two butterfly cards for today until now. I guess I love this little butterfly a lot. :) Here's another Congratulations card, this time for a new bundle of joy!
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting with me today. Head on over to the Papertrey Ink blog to see more of this lovely kit from the design team.
Have a wonderful day!

Papertrey Ink April Release - Day 4 - Words to Live By, Shape Shifters, Dapper Chap + Shape Up: Tuxedo Gift Card
Happy Friday, friends! Welcome to Day 4 of the April Papertrey Ink Release Countdown. Today we are introducing ... Words to Live By: Work, Corner Adorner: April, Shape Shifters: Square Die, Dapper Chap and Shape Up: Tuxedo Gift Card Die.
**All of the new products will be available April 15th at 10pm EST!**
For my first card I used the new Shape Shifters: Square die and combined it with the new Words to Live By: Work stamp set and coordinating die. I started with the square base die and die-cut that in Spring Moss. Next, I die cut the chevron die in white, Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush, Bright Buttercup and Raspberry Fizz. In the white die-cut chevron square I replaced all of the white chevrons with the colorful ones. There are 3 dies in this collection ... the base, the chevron and then a stitched square that embosses. After I had replaced all of the chevrons I used the stitched square to emboss around it and trimmed the sides before attaching it to the center of my base square with dimensional foam.
I die-cut 'Word Hard' in True Black and attached that to the center and then stamped the remainder of my sentiment just below. To complete this, I stamped and die-cut a butterfly, from Butterfly Folk Outlines, attached that and then added a few sequins.
This next card features the new Dapper Chap. This set is so perfect for quick and easy masculine cards. I also created a matching gift card holder using the Shape Up: Tuxedo Gift Card Die.
I kept my card very clean and simple. I started with a Kraft card base and then using the Noted Simply Stitched Dies, I die-cut two rectangles ... one out of white and one out of the new Bitty Big Smokey Shadow patterned pattern (also being released on the 15th). I stamped my sentiment, from Dapper Chap, onto the white rectangle and then attached that over the striped one. I stamped two ties, one in Pure Poppy and one in Hawaiian Shores, and attached them with dimensional foam.
And here is my coordinating gift card holder. So cute, right? I didn't have a gift card on hand for the photo, but it tucks right inside the top of the collar.
That brings Day 4 to a close for me, but there is still so much more to see from my teammates. Head on over to the Papertrey Ink blog to read the full post for today and see all of the inspiring projects!
Have a wonderful day, friends!

Papertrey Ink April Release - Day 3 - Butterfly Folk, Botanical Bounty + Bold Borders: Flare
Welcome back for more of this month's Papertrey Ink Release Countdown. Day 3 is filled with gorgeous butterflies, stunning florals and a new Bold Borders die!
**All of the new products will be available April 15th at 10pm EST!**
Up first are two new $15 butterfly sets ... Butterfly Folk and Butterfly Folk Outlines. The detail put into these is simply beautiful and both are filled with a wide variety of not only butterflies, but also sweet florals. For my card today I used a mix of both sets.
I started by die-cutting a white panel using the new Noted Simply Stitched die (that will be released on the 15th with all of the of the other new product), On that panel I stamped one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Folk Outlines set in Sweet Blush. I set that aside and moved onto my die-cut butterflies.
Using the Butterfly Folk stamp and die collection, I stamped and die-cut the trio in Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet and Melon Berry. Those were then popped up onto my stamped white panel with dimensional foam.
In the center of each butterfly I added stamped and die-cut flowers and leaves, again from the Butterfly Folk stamp and die collection. The sentiment is from Kindness Counts. That was stamped in white onto True Black cardstock and then popped up between the two butterflies with dimensional foam.
My second card today was created with the new Botanical Bounty floral set. I love, love, love florals and this set is just beautiful. I'm so looking forward to spending more time creating with it. This card also features the new, and oh so awesome, Bold Borders: Flare die.
Kraft, Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz and Berry Sorbet are the colors I chose to create with for this card. I started by die-cutting the Bold Borders: Flare die in Kraft cardstock. I attached that to my white card base and then die-cut another border in Raspberry Fizz. I adhered all of the Raspberry Fizz dots inside the negative spaces in the Kraft.
After stamping and die-cutting all of my flowers, from Botanical Bounty, I attached them with dimensional foam and then moved onto my sentiment. The 'happy' is part of the Bold Borders: Flare die. I die-cut that out of Berry Sorbet and then again, popped it up with more dimensional foam. Mother's Day is from Simple Stems.
I hope you enjoyed what I created for today and that I've inspired you just a little bit. For a lot more inspiration be sure to pop on over to the Papertrey Ink blog to see what the rest of the team has created for today. All of their projects are simply amazing!
Hope your day is a happy one. I'll see you right back here tomorrow with lots more to share!
