Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #18 - Watercolor

It's challenge time at Where Creativity Meets C9! Are you ready to join in? We sure hope so! This month we are revisiting one of our previous challenges and one of my favorites... WATERCOLOR! Let's jump right to my card ....

I used the Orange You Sweet set from Concord & 9th. I started by trimming a piece of watercolor paper to measure 4" x 5.25".  In black ink I stamped the 'sweet' in the center and  then a variety of the melon and citrus images around that. Then came the coloring! I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them all in.

I stamped the rest of my sentiment in white ink onto black card-stock and adhered it with dimensional foam!

Now it's your turn to create a watercolor card and link it up on the Where Creativity Meets C9 blog. You have until February 28th to enter!

Have fun!

Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #17 - First C9 Set

It's time to ink up those Concord & 9th images for the next Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge. This month we are using the first set we purchased. I purchased two sets the first time ... Wildflower and Beautiful Words and will be using both of them on my card today. These two sets have gotten a lot of love from me in my studio. They are two of my favorite sets!

I started with a white card panel cut slightly smaller than my card base. Using one of the flowers in the Wildflower set, I stamped a border around the outer edge of the card panel. I then stamped all of the outlined polka-dots, filling in the empty white space. Next came the coloring. I chose the bright Copic colors you see in the photo above and only colored in the flowers.

For my sentiment, I trimmed another piece of white cardstock, stamped my sentiment, from Beautiful Words, and then colored the 'BEAUTIFUL' in using the R27 Copic marker. I stamped, colored and cut out another flower and attached that next to my sentiment before adding a bit of white twine. That was attached to my card panel with dimensional foam and then more foam was added behind the card panel before attaching it all to my card base. A few sequins were added to complete it!

Thanks so much for visiting with me today! I hope you'll join us in using your first Concord & 9th set. You have until January 28th to get your project linked up on the Where Creativity Meets C9.

Happy creating!

Concord & 9th - Stuck on You

Good morning, friends. I'm happy to be popping in this morning to share a card featuring the new Concord & 9th bundle, Stuck on You. I've only just begun creating with these images and can't wait to dive in even more. I love sets that offer a wide variety of images and give you endless creating options. This bundle certainly does just that!

For my card today, I started with the cactus. I first stamped all of the images ... cactus, flowers and pot ... onto watercolor paper and then colored them in using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I stamped  my sentiment in the pot, assembled all of the pieces and then set them aside so I could stamp my card base. Using the diamond looking background strip in the set, I created a border of three different colors along the bottom and top of my card. I then attached my cactus with dimensional foam before adding a few clear sequins to complete it.

There is a lot more Stuck on You inspiration to see today on the Concord & 9th blog. Be sure to stop by for a visit!

Have a wonderful day!

Essentials by Ellen - United We Flourish - Sweet Sprinkles with Concord & 9th

Hello, sweet friends! Today, I am honored to be participating in the latest United We Flourish blog hop with Ellen Hutson and Concord & 9th! This new set, Sweet Sprinkles, is truly the sweetest little set. I have had so much fun creating with all it's bits and pieces, from the sentiments and sprinkle border to those tiny little die cut hearts!

To create my card, I started with a white card base and stamped the sprinkle border along the bottom. Next, I stamped my sentiment just above... 'Hope your day is sprinkled with every happy thing!'...LOVE this sentiment! After stamping those, I set my card aside and moved onto die-cutting my cupcake. I stamped my cupcake liner in brown ink onto kraft cardstock before running it through my die-cut machine. I die-cut my cupcake top out of white cardstock and then added colorful hearts to decorate it! After attaching the finished cupcake to my card front with dimensional foam, I added a few clear sequins to complete it.

To celebrate, two randomly selected commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson shop and two commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Concord & 9th shop. To enter just leave a comment on the Ellen Hutson Classroom blog and the Concord blog by 12pm PST on December 26th.

There is SO much inspiration to be seen today, you definitely won't want to miss anything. Next up in the hop is the super sweet and extremely talented Sharon Harnist!

Enjoy your day and happy hopping!

Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #16 - Anything Goes

Happy Saturday, crafty friends! It's time for the next Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge and this month we are going with Anything Goes! It is also release day for Concord & 9th and the products they have been sneaking over the past few days have been nothing short of amazing. They truly blow me away each and every month with their creative designs!

I LOVE the new Love You So stamp and die collection and chose to create a little something for this month's challenge using those.

I love all of the bits and pieces included in both the stamp and die set. They truly give you so many options when creating! I started with a piece of white card-stock that was stamped using the polka dot LOVE background. I then die-cut it using the scalloped square and L-O-V-E letters. Next, I die-cut the letters again, in four different colors, before placing them inside the polka dot square. I attached that to the front of my card base, using dimensional foam, and then moved onto die-cutting the heart and leaves. To complete it, I stamped the rest of my sentiment onto black cardstock and attached that with more dimensional foam.

Thanks for stopping in today and sharing part of your day with me. I hope you will join us in this next challenge. You have until December 28th to get your Anything Goes entry in. Enjoy your weekend!

25 Days of Christmas Tags with Concord & 9th

Hello, friends! I am super excited to be joining my lovely friend, Tracey McNeely, in her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event. If you are in need of some Christmas tag ideas you must visit her blog HERE, it is jam packed with so much inspiration. All of the tags today feature products from Concord & 9th.

For my tag, I used the Sprinkles Tag die and mixed it with another one of my favorites, the Blossom die. I die cut the Blossom die five times using five different colors of cardstock...red, light pink, aqua, turquoise and green. I used the green one as my base and started filling in with the other colors to create this colorful Christmasy blossom.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the O Christmas Tree stamp set. After attaching my blossoms to the tag, I added red ribbon, white twine and a few clear sequins to give them a little sparkle.

Be sure to visit Tracey's blog so you can see all of the inspiration for today and also get all of the details on how you can enter to win some pretty great prizes!

Thanks for spending part of your day with me!

Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #15 - Christmas

Hey there, crafty friends! Are you ready for the next Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge? I know I am and I'm so excited about this months theme, CHRISTMAS ... the most wonderful time of the year!

I  don't currently have any of the newer Concord & 9th Christmas sets so I had to think a little outside of the box for my card today. I mixed two different sets together, O Christmas Tree and Pineapple Perfection to create this festive card.

I started with my white card base and used one of the polka images in the Pineapple Perfection set to create my background. The dots were stamped in black, leaving the center white for my sentiment. I chose the Merry Christmas sentiment from O Christmas Tree and stamped that in red, right in the center.

For the floral wreath around my sentiment, I stamped and die cut the flower images in the Pineapple Perfection set. I used aqua, red and yellow for my Christmas-y color combination. I began adhering the flowers, attaching some with dimensional foam and then tucked a few die cut leaves in there as well. To finish it off, I added clear sequins to a few of the flower centers.

Are you ready to get your Christmas on? We sure hope you are and look forward to having you join us in this months challenge. You have until November 29th to link your project and enter for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Concord & 9th.

Happy creating!

Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #14 - Colors of Concord & 9th

Hello, crafty friends! Welcome to the next Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge. This month we are focusing on the Shades of Concord & 9th. For my card today, I used the super fun Hooray bundle. Let's jump right to my card...

I started by die-cutting circles in a few different colors...green, aqua, turquoise and teal. I die cut a separate white circle to stamp my sentiment on and also, three hearts for the centers of my circles. Using the dots and stripes in the stamp set, I stamped each of the hearts to dress them up a bit. Then I simply started attaching my pieces to the front of my white card base. And lastly, I added a few sequins. So super quick and easy, right!

Thanks for spending part of your Monday with me. I hope you'll join us in this next challenge, Shades of Concord & 9th. You have until October 29th to get your projects in and enter for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Concord & 9th. Happy creating!

Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge #13 - Ink Only

Happy Saturday to you, friends! It's one of my favorite days of the month. The 9th means a new release from Concord & 9th and also, a new Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge. Can you believe we are on Challenge #13? Time sure does fly when you are having fun! And this months theme is also one of my favorites ... Ink Only.

I used the oh so sweet set, Orange You Sweet, to create my card for today. I started with a simple white card panel and began stamping my colorful citrus along the top and bottom. I also did a little masking, so I could overlap them. Next, came my sentiment. I've always been a fan of big and bold sentiments, and love that there is a 'Sweet' image that is just the outline, giving you the option of coloring it in or using the solid 'Sweet' to stamp inside. For this card, I chose to use the solid image. I also used the Pineapple Perfection set to add the 'Friend' in there and complete my sentiment.

Concord & 9th's Feature Friday - Pineapple Perfection

Hello again! Today, the Where Creativity Meets C9 team is sharing their last Concord & 9th Feature Friday projects with you. Pineapple Perfection is the final set in this month's new release and let me tell you, it is pretty amazing! I love how unique it is with the flowers being a part of the pineapple.

Here's a peek at the entire set, plus the die collection that coordinates with it...

And here is what I created ...

When I see pineapples, I think Hawaii and when I think Hawaii, I think bright, bold colors! So, I went with a tropical colors for my card. I started by stamping the pineapple off the left side of my card front. Then, using the Copic colors you see in the photo above, I colored it in. I die cut the coordinating banner die, stamped my sentiment and attached it with foam. I added a die cut flower just above that and a couple of leaves. And lastly, sequins ... lots and lots of sequins! :)

The Feature Friday blog post is filled with lots more inspiration from the Where Creativity Meets C9 team ... be sure to pop by to see what they have to share!

Enjoy your weekend!

Concord & 9th's 2nd Birthday Celebration Continues - Here's the Scoop

Good morning, friends! I'm so thrilled to be sharing a project with you today featuring another new product from Concord & 9th ... Here's the Scoop! The images and sentiments in this set are so, so cute! I'm loving the big bowl of ice cream and big, bold 'Here's the Scoop' sentiment!

I decided to keep my card simple + sweet for today and *almost* one layer.

I started with a crisp white card base and stamped the bowl of ice cream on the front, in black ink. Next, I stamped my sentiment, Here's the Scoop, just above.

Now comes the coloring. I used the Copic colors you see in the picture above to color in all that ice cream goodness. I wanted to use one of the other sentiments in the set and die cut the banner using the Here's the Scoop die collection. I then stamped that with It's your day! To finish it I added this glitter to give a little sparkle to each of the scoops of ice cream.

There is a lot more to see from my fellow Where Creativity Meets C9 teammates, so be sure to pop on over to Concord & 9th for their Feature Friday blog post. Thanks so much for visiting with me today. I hope your weekend is filled with all things happy!!
