Onto my project ... I started with die-cutting and stamping all of my flowers and leaves using the Mixed Bouquet stamp set and coordinating die collection. Flowers always call for bright and happy colors, don't you think, so I chose a few of my Papertrey favorites to work with ... Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest and Simply Chartreuse. Next, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to measure 3.75" x 5". On that, I stamped two rows of flowers above and below where I knew I was going to place my sentiment.
After finishing my flowers and leaves I moved onto the sentiment. I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 1" x 3.75" and stamped it in True Black ink. I added a bit of white twine before adhering it between my row of flowers with a bit of dimensional foam. I then filled in with the die-cut flowers I created in the beginning ... popping each one up with more of the dimensional foam. That was all then adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock. For the final touch, I added a few clear sequins randomly around my flowers.
I hope you enjoyed my cheerful card using this years anniversary set. There is so much more to see from the rest of the design team using this new set. Trust me, their projects are sooo amazing!
There is also a new challenge and a special announcement that you won't want to miss. You can read all about that, as well as how you can earn this years anniversary set, on the Papertrey Ink blog!
Thanks so much for visiting with me!
Welcome back Melissa and thank you for your inspired card...I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou had my favorite card of the day...so cheerful and totally something I could see myself making! Love that it is made from stamps, ink and dies...not watercolor. Very fun!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card I can see sending to my grandmother. You made a truly remarkable card.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, welcome back to the PTI design team! So happy to see you back.

I am glad that I finally got a chance to check out this place. Great views, food is nice. The quality of service at New York venues was great, and the environment were pretty comfortable. I’ll say I will look forward to visit again.
